Interview with Magnus Amundsen

Magnus is 28 years old and lives in Klæbu, 2.5 miles from Trondheim. He works as a Sales Engineer at Pon Energy Rental’s depot in Trondheim.

Magnus joined the company in September 2023, taking over the role as Sales Engineer at the depot in Trondheim to contribute to the company’s expansion in Central Norway. He has a degree in building and construction, but due to an injury he had to change careers and started working in sales.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, and spends a lot of time on various leisure activities such as training, football, golf, and skiing. There is also a lot of traveling to his girlfriend who is studying in Latvia.

As a newcomer to the company, he finds it very educational to work with different customers and products. “The job is very educational and exciting because there are new projects all the time, and solving customer challenges in a quick and good way is a lot of fun.” In addition, he highlights the team spirit and working environment as positive aspects of the job. “It’s always nice to be at work, everyone works well together, and we have a great time.”

What do you like the best about your job?

Definitely the colleagues and the working environment, even though it’s busy at times, everyone helps each other, and we have a lot of fun together. It’s also very exciting with new products, customers, and projects – you learn a lot from that.

What are your hobbies and interests?

I spend a lot of my free time on different activities such as training, soccer, golf, and skiing. I also spend a lot of time with friends and family, and since my partner is studying in Latvia, I also travel a lot.

How would you describe working at Pon Energy Rental and what is your proudest work moment?

It’s very exciting and educational, you learn new things all the time. It’s never difficult to ask for help, and the collaboration between my colleagues and departments works very well. You often encounter customers who need immediate help, and it’s nice to be able to solve the customer’s problems quickly and successfully together with the engineers.
