Interview with Maike Denissen

Maike is 35 years old and lives in Bladel with her partner. She works as a Business Development Manager at the Pon Energy Rental depot in Bladel.

Maike joined the company in February 2019 as a Sales Consultant and fulfilled the position of Interim Sales Manager in 2023 before she started her current role as Business Development Manager. She has worked in many different fields such as sales strategy, customer intimacy, marketing, and sales management.

She has a bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management which she puts to use in projects including customer feedback and satisfaction, customer journeys and customer intimacy strategies.

In her spare time, she often can be found on her Bamboo farm, which is a business she manages alongside work. She also enjoys running, hiking and spending time with family and friends.

One of her favorite things with working at Pon Energy Rental is the assigned responsibility over your own tasks and projects. Maike enjoys the dynamics of rental business and the exciting projects. The work environment and culture are also a big bonus, with everyone working together towards the same goal. “The thing I am most proud of is our service-oriented culture, we go the extra mile”.

What do you like the best about your job?

The best thing about my job is being able to work in exciting strategic projects on how we can grow as a business and where we can improve.

What are your hobbies and interests?

I spend a lot of time on my Bamboo farm “Bamboerin” which is a business project that I started in 2022. I also like running and hiking, and of course spending time with my friends and family.

 How would you describe working at Pon Energy Rental and what is your proudest work moment?

Something that I value a lot is the responsibility you are given over your own tasks and projects; I feel trusted with my actions and decisions. You also get to work with fun, diverse, and exciting projects, as the rental business is very dynamic. There is a good sense of solidarity between colleagues, we take time for fun and serious business.
