
Back-up power for hospital
On the 10th-12th of November, the switchboard at the hospital in Egersund was scheduled to be replaced. The switchboard was installed when the hospital was built in the early 1970s, so it was time for an upgrade.
The municipality of Schagen was assigned the task of accommodating 276 asylum seekers under the Dutch Distribution Act. However, the designated location lacked a power grid connection and was situated in a Natura 2000 area, which imposed strict environmental regulations. Pon Energy Rental was approached to provide a sustainable and temporary energy solution that complied with these environmental requirements.

On days with limited sunlight, the generator automatically switches on. To ensure compliance with the strict environmental standards of the Natura 2000 area, we engaged a specialized company to measure emissions. The results confirmed that our Stage-V generators running on HVO100 are clean enough to operate within these environmental regulations.
Thanks to this sustainable and innovative energy solution, the accommodation facility became operational on time, without relying on the regular power grid and with minimal environmental impact.
