Horten skipsreparasjoner (ship repairs) contacted us at Pon Energy Rental because the vessel REM POWER, which is an offshore wind supply vessel, needed to be docked. They therefore needed extra power quickly to power all necessary functions. We installed a 550kVA CAT EU5 generator that was lifted onto the ship by crane, which was connected directly to the boat’s generator switchboard and supplied the ship with 440V 60Hz during the work.   

Our new EU5 generators are a good alternative to the older EU3 generation as they have lower CO2 emissions and lower noise levels. They can also be used with renewable fuels such as HVO for an even more sustainable environmental profile. 

One week later the repair work was completed, and the generator was transported back to our depot where it was prepared for the next rental period.
