We at Pon Energy Rental, in collaboration with JSL Shipping & Agency, delivered a complete and reliable energy solution to an American submarine docked in Reykjavik, Iceland. To ensure a continuous power supply, the assignment included the delivery of two CAT 2000 kVA generators, two diesel tanks, cables, and complete grounding equipment. Two of our engineers traveled to the project to handle the technical aspects of the assignment, including connection, testing, and ongoing monitoring.
Our delivery included both transport and logistics, ensuring that the equipment was in place and ready for immediate use. Through project calculations, we dimensioned the solution so that it was optimally adapted to the submarine’s need for a stable and secure power supply during its stay in port. Our engineers ensured safe and correct installation, carried out the necessary functional tests, and took responsibility for ensuring that the equipment functioned flawlessly throughout the entire stay.
Throughout the assignment, the solution was remotely monitored, and our 24/7 support was always ready to assist when needed. In addition, we provided thorough training for relevant personnel on site so that those responsible for operations could handle the equipment properly and safely. When the assignment was completed, we decommissioned the equipment and returned it to our depot for further inspection, maintenance, and documentation.
