Back-up power for hospital
On the 10th-12th of November, the switchboard at the hospital in Egersund was scheduled to be replaced. The switchboard was installed when the hospital was built in the early 1970s, so it was time for an upgrade.
The St. Franciscus Hospital, located in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, sent us a request due to their need of temporary back-up power during the exchange of their Emergency Power installation. The customer was in search of a reliable power back-up solution since critical facilities such as hospitals can’t afford to have downtime.
During the replacement of the generators, we had two of our 1000 kVA generators, two Stage V 310 kVA generators and a diesel tank set up in a back-up configuration to secure the hospital staff and patients power supply and safety during the project. We installed the solution in September, and we will decommission the generators at the end of November or December when the fixed installation is in place.
