There is a new commercial area under construction outside Gardemoen, where sustainable energy solutions are a focus and demand from the developers. The area will hold companies operating in logistics, retail, business offices, industry and processing services and hotels.
Statkraft is currently building an innovative energy central for the buildings in the area including World Seafood Center, which will provide the building with renewable thermic energy. Since the internal district cooling system has not yet been installed, the customer needed a temporary cooling solution in the meantime.
We have delivered a 500kW chiller, a pump, a heat exchanger and equipment to the district cooling system, which delivers comfort cooling to buildings in the area during construction. Our solution was delivered and installed in March 2023, and will be in use until December 2023. Our solution is fully electric and completely emission-free.
