4.1.2024 LIER, Viken: After 10 years at the depot in Tømmersvingen 2, we at Pon Energy Rental have outgrown the premises. We have therefore signed a contract with Dpend for a new depot in the Drammen area, which will be completed and ready for occupancy on May 1st this year. The new address will be Teglverksveien 15A in Lier and is located 1.9 km from the current depot.
“Drammen has proven to be a good place for us and we want to maintain our presence in the area. The location is strategically good, a bit outside Oslo, but still a short distance to customers and there is good access to skilled labor.” says Elin Uyttendaele, Sales Manager Nordic.
Pon Energy Rental has grown significantly in recent years, increasing the number of employees, fleet, and turnover since becoming part of Pon in 2021. The positive ripple effects of the new ownership have led the company to outgrow its existing premises and it became natural to look for opportunities in the local area. The choice was an industrial premises a short distance from the current depot, which has an outdoor area of over 3,100 m2 and an indoor area of 2,000 m2. The new premises offer an integrated wash bay, a separate chemical room and covered outdoor area for efficient and safe preparation and testing of machinery and equipment. With this growth we are able to keep the availability of fleet that is needed for our customers.
“The premises will be renovated both externally and internally prior to takeover to have them tailored to Pon Energy Rentals’ needs today, and in the future. The facade will be upgraded and re-insulated, the offices will be rebuilt to provide more office space, and a brand-new wash bay will be installed. Together with Dpend, we are also looking at the possibilities of BREEAM certification of the building and environmentally friendly measures such as solar panels,” says Sverrir Gunnarsson, Operations Manager.
With new, modern facilities and an optimal location close to the E-18 highway, Pon Energy Rental can deliver the temporary energy solutions of the future. Here we will be able to work more efficiently and make better use of our resources so we can continue to grow. There will be enough space for new and more environmentally friendly equipment so that we can contribute to the green shift in the rental industry.

This is an exciting company with many local skilled jobs,” says Marius Vilhelmshaugen, Head of Real Estate at Dpend Eiendom.
The new premises offer many opportunities, such as expansion within Pon.
