Last winter, a distribution center faced a dual challenge in its energy supply. The existing heating system was temporarily out of service, and due to grid congestion, the installed heat pumps could not be used.
To resolve this issue, we installed two 600 kW gas boilers to provide additional heating capacity. We then implemented a battery system to support peak shaving, reducing energy costs and peak loads.
To ensure a stable and reliable power supply, the battery was supported by an EU5 generator. Once the original heating system was back in operation, the temporary gas boilers were dismantled. However, the peak shaving solution remained in place longer, allowing the client time to implement a permanent energy solution.
